Satellite + LTE‑MModule
LTE‑M where there's coverage and Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) satellite where there isn't, with GNSS built in, so devices report from anywhere on Earth.
- Switches between LTE‑M and satellite on its own
- Low-power, two-way Iridium SBD messaging
- Global Iridium coverage, pole to pole
- Built-in location from GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou

Satellite + LTE‑M
Easy to integrate, quick to deploy, and ready to scale

- 3‑in‑1
- LTE‑M, Iridium satellite and GNSS on one module, with just two antennas to fit.
- Automatic failover
- Uses LTE‑M where there's coverage and switches to Iridium SBD where there isn't, with no logic for you to write.
- Global coverage
- Iridium reaches the entire globe, oceans and poles included, so devices report from anywhere.
- Satellite-ready data
- Readings are compressed on the module, so they fit Iridium's short messages and use less airtime.
- Edge memory
- A time-series database on the module holds every reading through outages and power loss until it's back online.
- Built to scale
- Jooni Cloud is ready at power-up: fleet management, over-the-air updates and routing to any endpoint.

Frequently asked questions
Over Iridium Short Burst Data, each message carries up to 340 bytes from the device and 270 bytes to it, which suits readings, alerts and commands. Larger transfers, such as firmware updates, are best scheduled over cellular.
Iridium covers the entire globe, including the oceans and polar regions, so the module can report from sites with no cellular service.
For satellite and GNSS, yes. The satellite and GNSS antenna needs an unobstructed view of the sky. Cellular has no such requirement, so the module can still use LTE-M where the sky is blocked.
Two: one shared by satellite and GNSS, and one for LTE-M.
