Markets & certifications
Regulatory status varies by product/SKU. Where certified, devices carry the applicable IDs and may be marketed and operated according to regional rules (e.g., FCC (US), ISED (CA), CE/RED (EU), UKCA (UK), MIC/TELEC (JP), KC (KR), SRRC/CMIIT (CN), ANATEL (BR), RCM (AU/NZ), ICASA (ZA), IFETEL (MX), TDRA (UAE), CITC (SA)). Contact us for current SKU‑specific status.
Approved antennas & RF exposure
- Operate only with antennas and maximum gain specified for the SKU. Using non‑approved antennas or gains may invalidate certification.
- Maintain required separation distances and follow RF exposure statements in the user documentation.
- Avoid co‑location with other transmitters unless explicitly evaluated and approved.
RF exposure & safety notice
RF energy, when misused or if exposure exceeds applicable limits, can pose risks to humans and animals. Our products are designed to comply with regional RF exposure limits (e.g., FCC/ICNIRP). Installers and operators must follow the product’s exposure statements, maintain required separation distances, limit access to high‑gain installations, and use appropriate signage where required. Our wireless modules may be integrated by qualified manufacturers into medical devices; certification/clearance for the finished medical device (e.g., FDA/MDR) is the integrator’s responsibility. Unless a specific SKU is expressly designated by Jooni as a medical device, it is not intended for standalone medical use. Users with implanted medical devices should consult their physician and device manufacturer.
Medical deployments (guidance)
- Evaluate EMC/EMI per IEC 60601‑1‑2 (or applicable) for the finished device and clinical environment.
- Maintain required RF exposure distances and implement risk controls for patient/operator proximity.
- Use approved antennas and enclosures; re‑evaluate if integration changes RF characteristics.
- Perform clinical risk management (ISO 14971) and document wireless coexistence as applicable.
- Contact us to discuss healthcare deployments and regional certification plans.
Emissions & band operation
- Operate only in approved bands and at compliant output power and bandwidth settings for the region.
- Do not modify emissions limits, filters, or modulation parameters in a way that violates regulations.
- Users are responsible for ensuring network/channel plans comply with local rules.
Labeling & user information
- Device labels/markings and user documentation must remain intact and visible where applicable.
- Include mandated regional notices and statements (e.g., FCC/ISED/CE) in product literature.
Installation & integrator guidance
- Follow mechanical, electrical, and thermal guidance; use compliant cables, antennas, and accessories.
- Ensure end products maintain the certified RF characteristics or seek re‑evaluation if modified.
Country availability & spectrum
Availability depends on spectrum allocations and certification timelines. See Export & Market Availability for geographic restrictions and importer obligations.
Responsibility & enforcement
Customers are responsible for operating within applicable RF regulations, product conditions, and approvals. Jooni may restrict, suspend, or terminate services where non‑compliance or harmful interference is identified, consistent with our AUP and Terms of Use.
